The book is based on the way they teach, and comes across in an easy, friendly and accessible style. It lays a firm foundation in analysis and is suitable for a wide range of undergraduate courses. The techniques introduced include spray and tree diagrams, data flow diagrams, data modelling, normalisation and entity life histories. The approach throughout is to introduce the techniques by the use of step-by-step worked examples.
