This book introduces the SSP - an integration of signal processing techniques and the universal user interface of a spreadsheet. It features: a graphics orientation showing how the computer screen should look at various junctures; a study of the effects of an incorrect or incomplete matched filter on compression of an FM up-chirp or down-chirp; applications of spreadsheets for all signal processing operations to simplify interfacing with laboratory and field data acquisition systems; and instructions on how to deconvolute wideband and narrowband signals (scalar and vector), restoring amplitude and time resolution in the former and correcting amplitude and phase shift errors in the latter.
