Synopsis
Concerned primarily with the science and technology of the production of semiconductor devices, special emphasis is given to methods of semiconductor assessment on which important parameters such as structure, purity and electrical properties can be determined. Techniques discussed are illustrated throughout with actual experimental data and applied to bulk semiconductors, interfaces and surfaces. Extensive references and worked examples are included in the text. This text is intended for use by second- and third-year MSc students on all courses on semiconductors, in departments of physics, chemistry and electrical engineering.
