Synopsis
The first part of the book concentrates on matrix systems, the central part with multiparticulate formulations, and the closing section with an examination of opportunities with biodegradable polymers. Although the oral route remains the major form of application, the authors also include information on topical ophthalmics and implants. Based on two recent pharmaceutical technology conferences, one in Monte Carlo in 1989 and the other in Holland in 1990, this book provides a foundation on which the reader can increase his knowledge of controlled drug release.
