About the Author

Tony Gaddis is the lead author of the Starting Out withseries including Starting Out with Alice, C++, Java™, Visual Basic® 2008, Programming Logic & Design, and Python. He previously taught programming for several corporations and government agencies, including NASA's Kennedy Space Center.
