About the Authors
Brenda Beasley and Mike West have over thirty years of combined EMS educational experience. Ms. Beasley holds a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Health Care Administration and Education, is a Registered Nurse and a Paramedic and for the past twenty-four years, has been an EMS educator in the state of Alabama. Ms. Beasley has been an Affiliate Faculty member of the American Heart Association’s Emergency Cardiac Care Program for the past fifteen years and is the author of Brady’s Understanding EKGs: A Practical Approach, currently in its third edition.
Mike West is a Registered Nurse and Paramedic and has also been an Affiliate Faculty Member of the American Heart Association's Emergency Cardiac Care Program for the past twenty years as well as an adjunct EMT and Paramedic instructor at various institutions in Alabama. Mr. West has been the director of a hospital-based EMS provider in north Alabama since 1980 and holds an MS Degree in Justice and Public Safety.
The Beasley/West team has also authored Brady's successful Understanding 12-Lead EKGs, 2/e text.
