Synopsis
This text details the fundamentals of graphics programming for the IBM PC family and compatible microcomputers and teaches programmers the techniques required to generate exciting graphic images. Discussions are included on ROM BIOS, VGA, EGA and CGA inherent capabilities; pop-up windows and menues; 3-D figures; methods of displaying points on a screen; algorithms for drawing and filling in lines, ovals, circles and other shapes and more. Source code is sufficiently detailed so that programmers can customize the graphics functions to suit their own specific needs, and a computer disk is available containing code in MS/PC-DOS format.
