This work offers guidance on ray tracing for programmers using C++. Ray tracing uses the physics of light to create dynamic graphics and advanced fractals. The book explains how rays are traced, how objects are used to create ray-traced images and how to create ray tracing programs before adding in fractals. The various techniques of interweaving fractals and ray-traced images are also explained. There is a discussion of how C++, the object-oriented extension of C, relates to ray tracing. Also available with this book is a computer disk carrying source code in MS/PC-DOS format. The programs require a Zortech C++ compiler, version 2.0.
