About the Author
Dr. Bertrand Meyer is one of the pioneers of modern software and object technology. He is the creator of the Eiffel programming language and the author of Object-Oriented Software Construction. He has been working with Microsoft's .NET platform and development team for more than a year prior to .NET's official release, culminating in a joint appearance with Bill Gates at the Microsoft Professional Development Conference where .NET was unveiled.
