About the Author

MARK YOUNG is a professor at the University of Central Florida. He received his doctorate from Ohio University in 1985. He has trained helpers for more than 15 years and has worked in community mental health, private practice, college counseling centers, and corrections for more than 20 years. His professional writing has focused primarily on therapeutic methods and techniques and counseling couples.
