9 out of 10 men will develop prostate problems
Over the last decade-and-a half, I've researched and reported on countless new medical technologies on behalf of "Popular Mechanics" magazine and other publications. Although all of these techniques and devices - such as those featured in the February 1999 cover story, "HALF MAN, HALF MACHINE," and the January 1997 feature, "BLOODLESS SURGERY," - are ingenious, there is one indisputable fact; they all came about as a result of human suffering. During my medical writing career, one question always nagged at me. Could anything be done to prevent the medical conditions requiring expensive technology in the first place? What better place to begin answering that question than with the prostate gland. Many thousands of lives are adversely affected every year by prostate disease. Medical procedures, including surgery, alter the lives of men and their loved ones- often with dire consequences. I knew there had to be a better way. There MUST be a better way. There is. That's the reason for this book, "Natural Prostate Healers." Nine out of ten men who live into their 70s (the average life span of a man in the US is around 74) can expect some type of prostate problem before they die. With basic knowledge and diligence it's possible to eliminate or at least minimize prostate woes. Most men have some vague notion that their prostate is "down there" - someplace above our testicles and below our navel. That is, unless it's caused you problems. Then you know EXACTLY where it is. Prostate problems can adversely affect two of the things we men crave most: -- SLEEP -- SEX And not necessarily in that order. Even if you haven't had a problem, I'm sure you know someone who has, don't you? Perhaps a coworker, a neighbor, maybe a relative. You might even worry that you're next - especially if you've experienced - BATHROOM TROUBLES, SUCH AS: - The need to urinate frequently at night - A weak or interrupted urine flow BEDROOM TROUBLES SUCH AS: - Reduced sexual ability - Discomfort during intercourse While pharmaceutical and surgical treatments are more or less effective in relieving symptoms, they in no way address the underlying factors leading to prostate disease. That's why we're here. With this book as a guide, you'll be surprised how easy it is to protect your prostate. In "Natural Prostate Healers," we will provide a "game plan" to avoid, delay or recover from prostate problems. Most men feel uncomfortable talking about the prostate, since the gland plays a role in both sex and urination. We turn a blind eye towards it. We sort of say, "why fix what ain't hurtin'?" This shouldn't be. And, it doesn't have to be. In fact, if you think about it, it's kind of childish. In "Natural Prostate Healers," we will provide all the information men need to deal with this manly problem. Through information gleaned from the leading research institutions and fortified with anecdotal evidence, we will arm you with the facts and scope of the problem. We will give you all the information you need about Prostatitis, BPH and prostate cancer. We will explain the various treatments available - providing the pros and cons of each. ----
