About the Authors

Dr. Sabu Thomas (Ph.D.) is the Director of the School of Energy Materials, School of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology of Mahatma Gandhi University, India. He received his Ph. D. in 1987 in Polymer Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur, India. He is a fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, London, and a member of the American Chemical Society. He has been ranked no.1 in India about the number of publications (most productive scientists). Prof. Thomas’s research group specialized areas of polymers which includes Polymer blends, Fiber filled polymer composites, Particulate-filled polymer composites and their morphological characterization, Ageing and degradation, Pervaporation phenomena, sorption and diffusion, Interpenetrating polymer systems, Recyclability and reuse of waste plastics and rubbers, Elastomer cross-linking, Dual porous nanocomposite scaffolds for tissue engineering, etc. Prof. Thomas’s research group has extensive exchange programs with different industries, research, and academic institutions all over the world and is performing world-class collaborative research in various fields. Professors Centre is equipped with various sophisticated instruments and has established state-of-the-art experimental facilities which cater to the needs of researchers within the country and abroad. Tuan Anh Nguyen is a Senior Principal Research Scientist at the Institute for Tropical Technology, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, Hanoi, Vietnam. He received a BS in physics from Hanoi University in 1992, a BS in economics from Hanoi National Economics University in 1997, and a PhD in chemistry from the Paris Diderot University, France, in 2003. He was a Visiting Scientist at Seoul National University, South Korea, in 2004, and the University of Wollongong, Australia, in 2005. He then worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate and Research Scientist at Montana State University, United States in 2006-09. In 2012 he was appointed as the Head of the Microanalysis Department at the Institute for Tropical Technology. His research areas of interest include smart sensors, smart networks, smart hospitals, smart cities, complexiverse, and digital twins. He has edited more than 74 books for Elsevier, 12 books for CRC Press, 1 book for Springer, 1 book for RSC, and 2 books for IGI Global. He is the Editor-in-Chief of Kenkyu Journal of Nanotechnology & Nanoscience.

Dr. Mazaher Ahmadi received his Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Bu-Ali Sina University in 2017. He has been to Alicante University, Spain, and Stockholm University, Sweden, as a visiting researcher in 2015-2016 and 2016-2017, respectively. He became an Assistant Professor of Analytical Chemistry at Bu-Ali Sina University in 2019. His professional experiences also include two post-doctorate research courses at Shiraz University of Medical Science, Iran, and Bu-Ali Sina University, Iran, in 2017-2018 and 2018-2019, respectively. Dr. Ahmadi is an expert in nanotechnology, analytical method development, pollutant removal, and wastewater treatment. He has edited six Elsevier books. He also has contributed eleven book chapters with Elsevier.

Dr. Ali Farmani is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Lorestan University in Khorramabad, Iran. His research focuses on optical nanostructured materials.

Ghulam Yasin is a researcher in the School of Environment and Civil Engineering at Dongguan University of Technology, Guangdong, China. His expertise covers the design and development of hybrid devices and technologies of carbon nanostructures and advanced nanomaterials for for real-world impact in energy-related and other functional applications.
