Synopsis
Born in 1978, Ricky “The Hitman” Hatton began to box at age 10. He continued to impress in the ring until a loss in the semi-finals of the 1996 World Championships, after which Ricky decided to devote his entire life to his sport. He gave up his job as a carpet-fitter and turned pro in 1999, taking the boxing world by storm and clinching the World Boxing Union belt within two years. This is Ricky’s story told in his own words, from his first step in the ring to his rise to stardom on an international stage, including the story of his incredible defeat of Kostya Tszyu in 2005 and his subsequent crowning as the champion of the WBU. With Ricky’s inimitable mix of quiet, down-to-earth modesty, sportsmanship, and ruthless determination to succeed, this is the unique life of a beloved champ.

About the Author
Ricky Hatton lives with parents Ray and Carol in Hyde, Greater Manchester. He is mad about Manchester City FC and also a keen darts fan. He has a young son, Campbell. This is his first book.
