Fred Buller is well known as an angler and author. His lifelong study of the pike has yielded two classic works, of which this book is one. During his professional career he founded Chubbs Ltd, the gun-making and fishing tackle company, and later acquired the famous gunmakers, Fredrick Beesley, Watson Bros and Charles Hellis and Sons. Among many awards and honours presented to Fred Buller in recognition of his contribution to angling, the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Country Landowners Association at the Game Fair in 2002 was the most recent.
