Synopsis
The increasing interest in wetland systems for wastewater treatment and the growing maturity of the technology are reflected in these conference proceedings. The 40 papers (selected from over a hundred original submissions) which are included here cover a various aspects of wetlands treatment: fundamental mechanisms and processes; system performances; their use in the treatment of municipal, industrial and agricultural wastewaters, including non-point sources and runoff, and the protection of the natural environment. All serve to demonstrate the utility of wetlands treatment systems.
