Assignment Pentagon is the only complete guide to Pentagon
When I worked in the Pentagon in the 1970s and 1980s, I wanted to give people who were just being assigned to the Pentagon a guide book so that they could hit the ground running when they arrived. Since there was no such book, I wrote Assignment Pentagon after I retired from the Air Force. The most recent edition is an update of the original book. Since have served as CNN's military analyst ever since the Gulf War, I keep up to date with Pentagon activities and changes in structure, strategy and policy.
