About the Author

Lars Larsson, a naval architect, is Professor of Hydrodynamics at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden. He is also president of Flowtech International and was for 18 years a scientist at SSPA Maritime Consulting. He has written 100 papers on computational fluid dynamics and has taught both academic and public courses on yacht design. A lifelong sailor, he has been a consultant to the Swedish Olympic Sailing Team and three America's Cup teams.
