About the Author:

Linda D. Sharkey, PhD, is a founding member of the Marshall Goldsmith Group. A former senior HR executive at Hewlett-Packard and GE Capital, her work was named a "best practice" by GE CEO Jack Welch. Nazneen Razi, PhD, is senior vice president and chief human resources officer for Health Care Service Corporation with extensive global leadership experience having led human resources organizations at several global and multinational companies. Robert A. Cooke, PhD, is CEO of Human Synergistics, emeritus associate professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and author of widely used surveys for organizational research and development.
