Adam Rosenberg (Atlanta, GA) is an industrial mathematician who has built decision-support systems for telephone companies, airlines, railroads, automobile resellers, and hotels. Dr. Rosenberg was part of the Advanced Mobile Phone Service systems engineering group at Bell Laboratories. Later he worked for InterDigital Communications Corporation on broadband CDMA, where he did statistical capacity analysis of CDMA for wireless local loop. He holds a Ph.D. from Stanford in Operations Research, and an A.B. in mathematics from Princeton University.
Sid Kemp (San Antonio, TX), is a leading expert in project management for information technology and telecommunications implementations. His company, Quality Technology and Instruction, provides a custom project management methodology to businesses, government agencies, and educational organizations. He has assisted Fortune 500 companies and government agencies in the deployment of new technology, and developing custom project management methodologies. Mr. Kemp has more than 15 years of experience in IT and telecommunications, and has authored 5 textbooks for use in courses and corporations. He has been teaching a seminar on Project Management for Information Technology for three years.
UNLOCK THE SECRETS OF CDMA
* Optimize the radio, telephony, and data components of CDMA cellular networks
* Implement or upgrade to all flavors of CDMA--cdmaOne, cdma2000, W-CDMA, and the newest TD-SCDMA
* Maximize capacity, throughput, and voice and data quality for 2.5G and 3G CDMA cellular telephone networks
POWER UP CDMA
With this essential expert guide and toolkit, you can get the best of CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access)--now a key component of 3G systems worldwide. In CDMA Capacity and Quality Optimization, experts Adam N. Rosenberg and Sid Kemp explain every aspect of CDMA cellular networks: Radio Frequency, Telephony, Signaling, and Data Transmission. This book can help you:
* Understand CDMA principles and apply them to optimizing your cellular network
* Manage traffic engineering through the entire cellular system
* Find direct routes to capacity and quality solutions
* Troubleshoot problems and bottlenecks with step-by-step guidance
* Upgrade throughput without diminishing quality
* Use cellular planning and coverage mapping tools for superior performance and faster results
* Plan 2.5G data services and 3G CDMA networks
* Put solutions in place that can grow with your network
Cellular telephone networks win in the market by achieving the optimal capacity and call quality at the lowest possible cost. If you are assigned to plan for, design, implement, or optimize CDMA, you won't find a clearer, more thorough, or more helpful source of fundamental theory, technical implementation guidelines, practices, and tools than this book.
