Peter J. Denning, Ph.D., is professor of computer science and chair of the Information Technology Council at George Mason University. One of today's leading futurists and IT thought leaders, he was a pioneer in the early development of operating systems throughout the 1960s and 1970s. Over the past three decades, Dr. Denning has held numerous leadership positions in the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM).
