About the Author

Professor Shivraj Kanungo teaches decision support systems and operations management at the Department of Management Science, George Washington University, Washington DC. Prior to this, he was with Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, where he held the Dalmia Chair for Management ofInformation Technology. He pioneered the IT management specialisation and helped establish two world-class laboratories (Baan Laboratory for Excellence in Enterprise Applications and the Acer Competency Laboratory)

Dr Asha Goyal started her career at Tata Consultancy Services and is currently Vice President-Quality at IBM Global Services India. She is a gold medalist in electronic engineer from Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee and a Ph.D in computer science from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. Dr Goyal is a winner of the prestigious 'Technologist of the Year 2004 Award' conferred by National Women of Color, USA. She has over 30 years of software development and services delivery experience from the leading IT companies in India
