From the author's website: I've been Dean of the College of Science and Engineering at Seattle University since September 2007. Before joining Seattle University, I was a professor of computer science at the University of New Hampshire and Oregon State University. I hold a Ph.D. in computer science from Washington State University, an M.S. in computer sciences from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a B.S. in mathematics from Gonzaga University. Before I became an administrator, I had an active research program in the area of parallel computing that resulted in the publication of more than 60 refereed journal and conference papers. My textbooks on parallel computing have been used by hundreds of universities worldwide. I began teaching a course in computer ethics back in 1994, and in 2003-2004 I wrote a textbook called Ethics for the Information Age, which has been adopted by more than 125 colleges and universities in the United States and many more internationally.
