Synopsis
This brief, straightforward text covers computer concepts for the introduction to computers course. The text is also available packaged with a CD-ROM for students, covering topics from the text plus demonstrations, simulations, projects, tests and exercises. Colour illustrations, photos and charts reinforce the text while visual summaries at the end of each chapter capture the key concepts. Each chapter offers competencies, review questions, discussion questions, projects and a visual summary. An online testing package supports the text. Instructors can have students take tests on the computer or instructors can prepare computerized tests in the traditional manner.
