Designed as a supplement to a beginning algebra course, where calculators are an integral component, this text aims to encourage students to use the power of the graphing calculator to enhance their understanding of the mathematics. It contains examples and exercises similar to those found in a corresponding section of any elementary algebra text, and additional exercises which more fully explore the capabilities of the graphing calculator. Three appendices covering the T1-81, Casio fx-7700G, and the T1-85 contain examples that illustrate all the keystrokes necessary to solve the exercises. The appendices correspond to one another so that instructions can be given easily to a class of students in which more than one model of calculator is used.
