About the Author

John Jacobs has often been referred to as the ‘Professionals’ Professional’. He is the founder of the European Tour, having been its first Tour Director during the early 1970s; was Ryder Cup captain in 1979 and 1981; and was awarded an OBE in 1997 for his services to golf. He is the best-selling author of Golf Doctor and Practical Golf School.

Steve Newell is the instruction editor of Golf World magazine. He has co-authored two books with Ernie Els and was the contributing editor on the highly acclaimed Ultimate Golf Techniques.
