Features of this edition include an emphasis on physical aspects of fluid behaviour; coverage of the derivation and analysis of equations; an analysis of pressure distributions in fluids with specified acceleration which develops the concept in the same framework as hydrostatic pressure variations; a development of uniform flow solutions to the Navier-Stokes equations; and derivation of the logarithmic velocity profile which provides an example of a turbulent uniform flow analysis.
