The final page lists some of the issues the book raises such as class struggle, male dominance and women's suffrage. 2 pp., recto only loosely inserted of rough notes on Michael Hastings book 'Tussy is Me' a novel about Eleanor Marx and Edward Aveling handwritten in biro on A5 ruled paper torn from a spiral bound pad. Ernest William Radford (1857 Ð 1919) was secretary of the Rhymer's Club group of poets, a critic, socialist and a follower of William Morris and one of the organisers of the Arts and Craft Movement. He married Caroline Maitland (1858 Ð 1920) aka Dollie Radford a poet and writer and a close friend of Eleanor Marx (1855 Ð 1898), known as Tussy, Karl Marx's youngest daughter. Tussy's partner was Edward Aveling, a prominent British Marxist. She committed suicide when she discovered he had married a young actress. Ann MacEwen ne Radford aka Ann Maitland (1918 Ð 2008) was an architect and town planner who was a champion of National Parks.
