People are enamored with "survival techniques." They have an insatiable urge to discover what to do when confronted with life or death situations, regardless of how common those situations may ultimately be. The Complete Idiot's Guide® to Surviving Anything covers all aspects of urban and wilderness survival, including desert, jungle, mountain, deserted island, plane/train/automobile accidents, natural disaster survival and more! In addition, the book provides safety facts and figures, advice on how to stay calm and deal with others during a crisis situation, information on important life-saving skills and a survivor personality test.

Patrick Sauer is the author of The Complete Idiot's Guide to the American Presidents, The Complete Idiot's Guide to Starting a Reading Group, and You Be the Judge, which will bear the stamp of Court TV when it is published in 2001.
He earned his masters in professional writing from the University of Southern California and his undergraduate degree from Marquette University. Sauer was raised in Billings, Montana, and is currently working on a collection of short stories set in and around the "Magic City." His play, Lunchroom, was produced in Los Angeles. He writes historical articles for idiotsguide.com, interviews first-time screenwriters for moviebytes.com., and currently works for the magazine Maximum Golf. He is surviving the life of a "screenwriter" who has yet to sell a script.
Michael Zimmerman has been a professional writer for 13 years and considers himself a survivor type. His survival credits include childhood, puberty, high school, college, marriage, and parenthood twice over. His writing credits include 11 pseudonymous young adult thrillers strictly for the money, and he's working on two adult thrillers that will allow him to live fast and die young.
He is also the author of The Complete Idiot's Guide to Fantasy Baseball, which felt good but bought him little credibility in his local league. Mike frequently uses profanity and remains determined to teach his dog how to fetch beer.
