She has a degree in journalism from Duquesne University and has worked as a newspaper columnist and an advertising agency copywriter. In addition to taking craft classes in her spare time, Marilee has taught arts and crafts, as well as newspaper writing, to children. Marilee lives in Pennsylvania with her husband, Joe, and her two college-age children, Melissa and Ryan.
