Synopsis
Glencoe Medical Keyboarding 1e provides 20 lessons of sound alphanumeric keyboarding instruction, including proper technique development and skillbuilding practice. Once the keyboard has been mastered, 30 lessons provide medical materials for the student to key: warm-up paragraphs, medical terms and definitions, language arts application sentences, timed writings, and medical documents to be formatted.

Medical documents and other medical terminology practice are introduced after basic keyboarding skill has been developed.
Upon completion a student will learn basic keyboarding and the ten-key pad.
Skillbuilding sections include diagnostic, progressive, and paced practice.
Students will increase their speed and accuracy.
Student software packaged with the student text provides keyboarding demonstrations and computer scoring of the timed writings. Medical custom timings after the first 20 lessons can be scored using the disk provided in the Instructor's Manual and Key.
Students will be able to practice their skills at home as well as in class.
