Alec's book was the #1 seller at the book fair, and he donated all proceeds from the fair to the school for school projects. When a local news station picked up the story his book took off. After appearing on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, CNN, and radio stations throughout the US, Alec worked with a local binding company to produce hard and soft cover books. As the demand and proceeds increased, Alec decided to donate to additional charitable causes, including Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the American Heart Association, and the Children's Miracle Network.
