The story of a slightly-squashed young cane toad’s quest for the truth.
‘Uncle Bart,’ said Limpy. ‘Why do humans hate us?’ Uncle Bart looked down at Limpy, and smiled fondly. ‘Stack me,’ he chuckled, ‘you are an idiot.’
Limpy’s family are in danger of being squashed by the cars people drive on the road. Knowing this, the young toad decides he has to change humans’ opinions of toads as it would be the only way to save them. His plan is to save their world, and his journey takes him far and wide.

About the Author
Morris Gleitzman was born in England and emigrated to Australia in 1969. Since then he has written numerous books, one of which, Two Weeks with the Queen, became an international best-seller and was adapted into a play.
