From the story of the geographically dislocated sheep to that of the generosity-gifted Samaritan, here are the parables of Jesus as you've never read them before, rephrased and reworked so as to fit the demands of political correctness. Of course, these demands have in places turned the whole parable around, and we discover that perhaps the pre-politically correct world wasn't so bad after all. At least you could tell a straight story! So this book is a great opportunity to laugh at some of our modern mores, as well as a challenge to think again about the directness and forthrightness of Jesus' original words.
