Synopsis
Graded practice material to improve listening skills and ability. The material is designed to appeal to EFL students between elementary and intermediate levels and will be especially useful for students preparing for the revised "Cambridge First Certificate in English" exam. Through practical exercises the student is led through the range of discrete items (sounds, stress, etc) to longer stretches of speech (dialogues, instructions, descriptions and short talks). Each part contains a number and variety of exercises to give practice in listening carefully, repeating and writing appropriate answers. Answers, notes and tapescripts appear at the back of the book.
