The boards are clean and unmarked. No bumps or creases except a light vertical reading crease to the spine. Corners sharp. Top of page block slightly foxed. Internally also very good with a neat gift inscription on the front free endpaper. No creases or tears. Pages clean. There is a slight reading lean to the binding. Spine tight. ***In a good only colour illustrated dustwrapper, which is complete, but is heavily rubbed and creased at the edges, particularly around the spine. The dustwrapper has not been price-clipped, retaining the original publisher's printed price of £5.50 net. Although there is a lot of creasing, there are no chips or tears. Back panel just slightly marked and discoloured (being a white background). No fading. ***204mm x 132mm. 269 pages. ***A first printing of the true first edition.
