Add to basketHealth care systems today face an impending crisis. An increasingly aging population with high-risk patients and rising costs challenges most teams in providing meaningful, lasting patient outcomes. This book provides a fresh perspective, shifting focus from rigid clinical protocols to humanistic elements of patient care, emphasizing empathy, communication, and rapport-building. It offers tangible interprofessional team-based solutions for immediate actionable results through case studies, interactive exercises, and real-life patient scenarios while also tackling burn-out, disengagement, and team communication. Blending humor, inspiration, and practical insights, complex health care challenges become more relatable and engaging for clinicians and health care administrators.
Key Features:
◾ Concrete strategies for managing complex patients: Offers a blueprint for patient success in various challenging situations. Equips readers with specific, actionable strategies that can be directly applied to their practice, helping them overcome the paralysis that often accompanies complex patient care.
◾ Case-based complex patient examples: Provides readers with practical, real-life scenarios for understanding and navigating the intricacies of managing complex patients. This hands-on approach helps bridge the gap between theory and practice, making the information more relatable and actionable. Readers learn not just theoretical concepts but also how to implement effective solutions in real-world situations.
◾ Interactive reflections reinforcing learning concepts: End of-chapter reflections inspire critical thinking with deeper understanding while reinforcing key ideas helping readers apply concepts to their own practice.
◾ Engaging reading: Keeps readers invested and motivated through a mix of humor, inspiration, and storytelling. The immigrant family’s narrative of struggle with complex care developed with each key concept throughout the book humanizes principles in a compelling way, making them more memorable and impactful.
