Paperback. There's no escaping hard times in life. Author and mother Terry J. Glawe knows this and wanted her children to be prepared as they journeyed from childhood to adulthood. So, she did what any mother would do: she wrote a book. 60 Miles until Empty is Glawe's tough-love, straight-talking, heartwarming message to her children-and anyone else smart enough to listen. Full of lessons learned and advice gleaned from her own childhood, this book distils a lifetime's worth of wisdom into an engaging and enlightening read that will touch the heart and mind of anyone who picks it up. Organized around a real experience-turned-metaphor from Glawe's years as a young adult, she deftly uses the imagery of driving and journeying to convey the guidance she offers. Full of practical advice as well as philosophical ruminations, 60 Miles until Empty is the sort of book you'll devour, then pick up again and again whenever you find yourself wishing your mother was there to tell you what to do-or give you a hug.
