About the Author: Jake Tilson is an artist, graphic designer and author. His work is held in museums worldwide including the Tate Gallery and Museum of Modern Art. Tilson founded the influential arts magazine, Atlas (1984) and was an early web pioneer with his award-winning website TheCooker (1994). His first cookbook, which he also designed, A Tale of 12 Kitchens (2006), won the Gourmand World Cookbook Award and was shortlisted for both the Andre Simon Award and Glenfiddich Award. He is currently working on a book about the typography of Venice, and a large-scale exhibition on the Tsukiji Fish Market in Tokyo.
