🌍 Power Lines: The New Rules of Geopolitics in a Fragmenting World
By Paarth Kumar
A world coming apart. A guide to understanding it.
From the South China Sea to the streets of Washington, from energy wars to AI races, the 21st century isn’t just chaotic—it’s geopolitical. Power Lines is your indispensable guide to decoding the headlines, connecting the dots, and understanding the real forces reshaping our world.
🔹 Why are supply chains turning into battlegrounds?
🔹 How do climate, chips, and cables define modern power?
🔹 What’s really driving conflicts in Ukraine, Taiwan, the Middle East, and Africa?
🔹 Who controls the story—and why narrative is the new weapon?
With sharp insights, vivid case studies, and a clear, accessible voice, this book explores the new rules of global power—where trade is weaponized, borders are back, and influence travels through algorithms as much as armies.
Inside, you'll discover:
- The geography of conflict—why maps still matter
- China’s playbook—from ports to platforms
- The tech cold war—chips, cyber, and the splinternet
- How empires rise, mutate, and fall in the modern era
- Why the Global South is no longer a spectator
- What the climate crisis means for borders, food, and survival
- How to read the signals of a world in transition
Who is this book for?
Whether you're a student, strategist, investor, policymaker, or just a curious citizen—Power Lines gives you the lens to understand the turbulence of our time. You don’t need a background in geopolitics. You just need the awareness that the world is shifting—and fast.
Readable, insightful, and essential—this is the one geopolitics book you need this decade.
“If you're confused by the world, this book will give you clarity. If you think you understand it, this book will challenge you.”
