Item description from seller

No dust jacket. The patterned cloth boards are yellowed, worn at the corners, spine darkened and tearing along front edge, tears head/tail. 1934 Random House edition of this classic Southern cookbook, which compiles recipes from mostly Black cooks. Quite interesting black and white photographs decorate the book. There are some truly wonderful sounding recipes here. Some food splatters to the interior. All orders packed with care, most dust jackets protected by Brodart sleeve, independent bookseller since 2011.
