In very good condition. Green and gold decorated boards remain attractive with normal shelf wear. All text-block edges gilt. Scuff on bottom text-block edge. Name plate with previous owner's name on front paste-down. Text-block and illustrations are bright and clean. Silk ribbon is clean. Binding is tight and intact. Please see photos.
Meditations is a series of personal writings by Marcus Aurelius, Roman Emperor from 161?180 CE, recording his private notes to himself and ideas on Stoic philosophy. He wrote the 12 books of the Meditations as a source for his own guidance and self-improvement.
