About this Item

A wonderful photo album with ninety-two mostly 4.75" x 6.75" photos from a family summer in Atlantic City in 1901. The larger than usual snapshots were probably taken with a camera on a tripod or a steady hand. The photos are thoughtfully composed and show family time and crowds on the beach, a few photos of a roller coaster, the boardwalk, etc. The album measures 7.5" x 10." Several pages are detached and the edges of the pages are brittle. Some of the photos are stamped in red "Atlantic City 1901." A few photos show edge wear or some surface marks and/or fading, though most are in good condition. A remarkable album. Seller Inventory # 389
