Paperback. Roman Littlepage should end his holiday-now. Newly single, Roman is on the island of Mallorca, wrapping up the vacation of a lifetime with his two best friends. Though his friends are headed home, Roman extends his vacation in order to search for her, the mysterious blonde bombshell he calls "The Goddess." He's spotted her numerous times during his holiday, but they've never met. It's now his mission to find her, and romance her. Roman.oh, Roman. just go home. In the midst of his search, Roman witnesses a brutal killing. Ever the good citizen, he reports the murder but the police discover no evidence-all they have is Roman's testimony. In short order, when another murder occurs, Roman finds himself the suspect. Then, people close to Roman begin to die. Fearful for his freedom and his life, Roman goes on the run, both from the police and the shadowy killers. The 17th State is a nod to the Hitchcock classics of yesteryear. All the elements are there: the exotic setting, the alluring blonde, layers of bureaucracy-even the famed MacGuffin. Don't miss this taut and sexy suspense thriller from award-winning author Chuck Driskell. This item is printed on demand.
