Item description from seller

Mark Twain. 1601: Conversation as it was by the Social Fireside in the Time of the Tudors. [No place:] Privately printed, 1920. Limited edition, No. 64 of 110 copies. Quarto. [xi], 8pp, xi. Facsimile frontispiece. Contains facsimiles of the original edition and the revised or "West Point" edition. Contemporary quarter patterned cloth over gray paper-covered boards, printed title to front cover. This "obscene" satirical work by Twain was originally published anonymously in 1880. Printed privately for decades afterwards, Twain himself would not acknowledge his authorship of the piece until 1906. Boards rubbed, soiled, and edgeworn; offsetting to endleaves, with one page toned from early news clipping (a paragraph from humorist Don Marquis on the nature of obscenity); hinges overopened; bookplate to front pastedown. Very good. .
