This is a scarce collection of 13 early TEMPERANCE SERMONS and Reports custom-bound into one volume. The sermons date from 1813 to 1842. Worn corners. Shelf wear along all edges of the boards. The leather has split along the left and right edges of the spine. Tight binding. Both covers are firmly attached. The first two end papers are loose and have pulled from the spine 2/3 of the way down from the top. Consistent foxing to the pages. There is a personal library label affixed to the front pastedown. The 1839 Report has a 1" tear at the outer edge of the title page, and a 2" tear at the outer edge of page 43. Intemperance 1813 has a 1 1/4" piece missing at the bottom edge, and a 1" tear at the top edge of page 17. The 1821 Report has old handwriting in pen on the title page.
