Scarce publication in Jack Collom's "the" series of poetry journals. From 1966 to 1977, the Boulder poet and teacher published 14 "the" issues, this one being number 12. Many well-known poets would often contribute works. This issue is divided into two sections. The first section contains poems by Carmen Vigil, Denise Levertov, David Meltzer, Phil Garrison, Kenneth Rexroth, Don Katzman, Jack Hirschman, and Snorri Sturluson.
