Pass, MD is Professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery and Surgery, Director of Surgical Research, and Division Chief for Thoracic Surgery and Thoracic Oncology for the NYU School of Medicine. Dr. Pass received his undergraduate education from Johns Hopkins University and graduated from Duke University Medical School.''He trained in Cardiothoracic Surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC.''He was a Senior staff fellow in the Thoracic Oncology Section at the National Cancer Institute/NIH in Bethesda, MD from 1983-1986 and became Head of Thoracic Oncology at NCI from 1986-1996. Sue Vento is widow of Congressman Bruce Vento, who died of mesothelioma on October 10, 2000. Ms Vento is a member of the Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation Board of Directors and activist in support of mesothelioma and asbestos disease victims and their families. She is also Chair of the Coalition to Protect Victims of Mesothelioma. Ms. Vento co-authored 100 Questions & Answers About Mesothelioma and wrote the preface.Since 1983, she has been a field staff member for Education Minnesota, working with and for public school teachers and school employees. Earlier in her career, she was an elementary classroom teacher (1976-1983). She is a graduate of the College of St. Benedict, St. Joseph, MN. In addition, she is a member and Advocacy Chair of the Friends of the St. Paul Library and member of the Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity Board.
