Volume I: 1755 pp. (in four parts). Latin text. Preface by editor Adalberto Hamman (text in French). First supplement to the Patrologiae Latina, the collected writings of ecclesiastical writers and church fathers dating from Tertullian to Pope Innocent III in 1216. Originally published by Jacques-Paul Migne between 1844-55, with indices published between 1862-5. Unread copies, pages are uncut. Text blocks are clean and sound although paper has age toned. Untrimmed edges of all copies have sl. handling and shelf wear. Wrappers on all four parts are dust soiled and age toned. Volume I (part 1) also has a 4 cm. tear and fold at the head corner of front panel (tear patched with clear archival tape on verso). Volume 1 (part 2) has a 3 cm tear to head corner of front panel (tear patched with clear archival tape on verso).
