Synopsis: How do we listen to Jesus?
Through the colorful gospel narratives you see Jesus offering soul care to the men, women, youth, and children of his day. From his example and that of his disciples, you can learn how to encourage others in their sacred journey through life.
Miller brings the gospel texts to life as a continuing conversation between Jesus and his disciples -- then and now. Using a groundbreaking narrative approach, she demonstrates the deep biblical roots of spiritual direction in the ministry of Jesus, his disciples, and Christians today.
As Miller writes, "Jesus models for us how to do the work of ministry -- what to notice, what to embrace, what to let go of, how to respond."
Jesus, Our Spiritual Director is designed for personal reflection and small-group sharing. Church leaders and committed disciples will appreciate this invitation to a more profound relationship with Christ and with others on the journey of ministry in the world today.
Buy this book, and you'll have access to additional free Web-only resources, "Dialogues with Jesus." Miller refers to these dialogues in the book.
This book is the perfect antidote for spiritual burnout!
