Catch-22, Heller's satirical, historical novel was first published in 1961. Set during the later stages of World War II, it is frequently cited as one of the great literary works of the twentieth century. As is usual with many of these older Easton books, there is a very light color shift on the edges of the moire end papers, else Fine condition. This is a beautifully designed and published book. It is doubtful that it was ever opened until we carefully did so to catalog it. Illustrated by Robert Andrew Parker. 551 pages. Full, blue leather, with gilt tooled decorations on the front and back covers, Two raised bands and gilt title and decorations in the compartments and all edges gilt, navy blue silk moire end-papers, attached silk ribbon page marker.
